PERCALE SPECIAL WOVEN (Percale), is a type of woven fabric in plain weave used in bedspreads, sheets and duvet covers.Percal fabric has a high yarn count per unit area and the fabric is tight because it is woven noticeably more frequently than the standard weaving type used for sheets.
it is hypoallergenic, bedding is sewn not only for adults, but also for children, does not irritate the skin of allergy sufferers.
The material has a smooth, matte, sometimes velvety surface and linen weave. It is not denser than coarse calico, but better than it in terms of tactile, aesthetic properties and durability.
Unlike coarse calico, percale is made from long cotton fibers spun into fine threads. Due to their low density, the fabric is dense, yet soft and thin.
Its density varies between 110-130 g/m2. The material remains soft with continued use. The fabric does not shed when washed, it is hygienic and wear-resistant. It is durable up to 1000 washes.
Does not exfoliate, has minimal shrinkage (up to 2%). The material is easy to process, flexible at work. Considered households according to coverage. Its hygroscopicity is 6-12%.
Fabric high strength, drapeability, thermal protection. It is moderately slippery, inelastic, has a significant vapor permeability and low dust capacity.
Textiles are resistant to fading and have a dirt-repellent effect. However, textiles have average shedding, electrification and water resistance values.
